Has anyone flown in seating row 57 in the outside seats (last row on the plane)? I was reading these seats may or may not be reclinable depending on the plane. I selected them because they are only two seats (instead of three) and hoping it will be quite there so I can sleep on an overnight flight to Cape Town. Any opinions? I can always change them if need be. Thanks.

I just went to the Seat Guru website and the seating layout for your plane. Seat guru lists all of row 57 in red, translated to “Bad Seats”. It’s the only row on the plane listed in Red. Go to seatguru.com and make an informed decision.

I would not sit in those seats. Use Seat Guru. Id get to right side of plane (looking downward at plane), more to the middle, away from galley and bathrooms and make sure they recline. Personally, I go for window, Id rather be the guy to wake up the other guy to go to the bathroom verse the other way around (but I normally limit that behavior). Cheers

You don’t want to be in the back near the galley. Everyone will be going there to stand up, get a snack, and use the facilities.

Also more engine noise in the back of plane. My experience anyway. I usually go for seats over the wing and agree to evacuation duties in the event the plane goes down. "Sure, I'll do it. Should be easy enough to lift that handle and push the door out of the way after the rest of the plane disintegrates." Flight attendentants never seem to appreciate my sense of humor.

Have never tried them but noise elimination ear phones would probably be a good investment for back of plane seating.

Worst seats on nearly any plane, by the galley and head. Seats don’t recline

We had row 42 A&B going over. Exit row middle of the plane. Not horribly bad, I'm 6'4, and not too skinny, so the seats were narrow. But tons of legroom, and we were able to get some decent sleep going over.

I have now taken this flight. There were no restrooms on the back of this plane, so traffic was minimal. The United Airlines staff did use the gallery a lot to chat, and it would get loud at times. The isle seat only reclined about half as much as the window, but neither was much.

wife and I always choose the last row, and all seats we had reclined. Works really well when the row has only two seats.

I have a Chapuis 450-400 double that looks brand new and shoots well, never been hunted from what I can tell. I am willing to part with it as I have a 375 H&H Sodia on it's way from Dorleac & Dorleac. I am looking for $9,250 for it and if you are interested, I am happy to send you some pictures. Regards,
Steve
