Sauer Magazine in a 404 Jeffrey 5 shot magazine ... $275.00
Sauer LH Bolt head for a 404 Jeffrey ...$300.00
Meopta MeoStar R2 1-6x24 RD 4C Illuminated rifle Scope in excellent condition...$1200.00

I realize not everyone is left handed. I will sell separately Rifle Scope and Bolt head.
I will not sell separately 404 Jeffrey Barrel and 404 Jeffrey 5 shot magazine.

It still is but I have changed directions from a 404 Jeffrey to a 416 Rigby.

Can you tell me what fore end the barrel needs? I have the fore end for heavy contour barrels on my 404. If this barrel takes the same contour fore end I may be interested

The barrel fits my Sauer S404

I am not sure exactly what you are asking. If you have a Sauer S404 Rifle receiver it will fit.
If you are unsure you can call Eurooptic guns in Muncy ,Pa @ 570-368-3920 and speak to them to be sure . That is who I bought it from .
Thanks,
Manny

Manny R,

Sauer 404 rifle barrels come in different contours (diameter) pending on the caliber. There's a standard contour which I think is 15 mm diameter, a heavy contour which is 19 mm diameter, there's a different contour for the "silence barrels", etc. Depending on the contour/diameter of the barrel being used the stock fore end channel width changes.

Example: If your rifle has a standard 300-win mag barrel on it, then it would have a standard contour barrel. If you then wanted to put a 375 H&H barrel on it, which only comes in a "heavy contour", your stock fore end wouldn't fit.

The barrels I have for my 404 are the heavy contour / 19 mm diameter, which the fore end on my rifle is sized accordingly.

What I'm asking you is what contour/diameter is your barrel? If it's the same as the barrels I have then the stock fore end I have will fit it. If your barrel is a larger contour/diameter then it won't fit.

The other question I have is since you have a lefthand bolt head will a righthand bolt, which is what I need, work with your barrel? That is something I will have to find out.

Regards,
Jack

Jack,
I know for a fact if you have a right handed Sauer rifle the bolt head you need is a right handed. A left handed bolt head will not fit on a right handed bolt. As for the barrels as long as you have a S404 Sauer all S404 barrels will fit.
My S404 is a heavy taper barrel. The only thing I am able to see on the barrel is BL9F-Sa2121. My previous suggestion is for you to speak with EuroOptic Guns and ask them if your rifle will fit a Sauer S404 Rifle. Another suggestion is to call Blaser in San Antonio and speak with them. They are the importer/ distributor for Sauer, Blaser,Rigby etc and they will know all your answers. Their phone # 210-377-2527
All my S404 barrels fit my S404 rifle (6.5 creed moor, 300 win mag ,and the 404 Jeffrey).

Jack,
I rather you confirm your findings. I want you to make sure all is correct and it fits properly & correctly. Blaser in San Antonio will be able to give you the answers to all your questions.

Manny,

I've actually have email into Sauer in Germany asking questions about the bolt head, fore end channel etc. Figured I go straight to those who built it. I'll let you know.

Thanks.
