Got back yesterday from Alberta after a week of duck and goose hunting and needed to check in on my boat. My partner (Doc. Pearl) said, “Well Salmon is open 1 more day”… “See you at 6:00am”. My buddy Steve was already out and said he was starting at middle ground. We put in a couple herring on our down riggers a mile north and trolled towards his numbers. Steve called and said he caught 1 keeper and dropped another. We picked up and ran to him. Put in 200 yards east abd trolled to his area. We hooked up 4 fish in about 3 hours -2 nice fish each. Hot fish, big runs, head shakes, and was just awesome to get local salmon!

Water was greasy flat. Lots of boats out including every party boat from the Emeryville fleet. Good brown water and tons of bait and birds. Classic San Francisco North Coast Salmon Fishing.

We had a big whale come up 30 yards from the boat.

Very nice!

Outstanding!
Had a friend that lived in Arcata, I went out there a couple of times to salmon fish out of Humboldt bay. Good times and great eats.
Also duck and brant hunted with him as well.

Nothing like some nice Salmon.

Cool. Ill be landing at SFO in a few hours....

Congrats! Good looking fish.

Nothing like Golden Gate Pacific Ocean run Salmon…

It’s a real privilege to have this resource available; even in limited quantities! Of course, I’ve been fishing salmon for over 40 years.

Good Afternoon,
How firm are you on your Dakota 416? I am highly interested but looking at a few different guns currently.

Best,
BJ

What is the minimum you would take.

I have a Chapuis 450-400 double that looks brand new and shoots well, never been hunted from what I can tell. I am willing to part with it as I have a 375 H&H Sodia on it's way from Dorleac & Dorleac. I am looking for $9,250 for it and if you are interested, I am happy to send you some pictures. Regards,
Steve
