Well my Africa plans are on hold. I'll be heading overseas for a couple of years and I don't want this rifle to sit in storage while I'm gone. I've decided to sell it and a couple of others to hopefully fund a short notice Alaska trip this fall before I go overseas.

This is a gorgeous Sako 75 Deluxe in .375 H&H currently wearing a Schmidt and Bender Klassik 6x42 A7 reticle in Leupold QD mounts/rings. The 75 deluxe has a high-grade walnut stock with a rosewood fore-end tip and a pistol grip cap with silver inlay. The stock has hand-cut skip-line checkering on both the pistol grip and fore-end.

The Sako has a totally free-floating, hammer-forged 24 3/8" barrel that is very accurate. All Sakos of that era did not leave the factory unless they fired a 5-shot 1" group at 100 yards. The .375 H&H was one of the only two "big game" calibers in the deluxe that included iron sights (the other was a .416 Rem). The rifle has a hinged floorplate engraved with a bear, an attractive red buttpad, and two-position safety with a button that allows the action to be opened in the safe position. The pictures don't do it justice.

The S&B Klassik 6x42 with A7 reticle is an excellent fit. The Leupold rings allow the scope to be easily removed to use the iron sights and return to zero when the scope is put back on. The last time I had this at the range, I shot a three shot 1 MOA group while removing the scope completely and putting it back on between each shot. There was zero shift in point of impact between each round. The scope is obviously very clear and extremely dependable...I think it's a great fit for the rifle, especially with the A7 reticle.

I still have the original box for the rifle but not the scope. I think the rifle has less than 30 rounds through it in its entire life. It's in excellent condition.

I'll sell the rifle with scope/rings for $3300 or the rifle alone for $2500. I can meet in the Montgomery, AL area if anyone wants to buy it in person or I can ship after payment clears.

Very pretty rifle for a very good price.
GLWS.
Thank you! I thought I’d never sell it, but after I saw a couple of the ones you listed, I figured why not. I hate the idea of it sitting in storage for years.

Sako 75’s are a cult rifle in The uk. If that was here and in an 06, I’d be very tempted!

Don't need it but it is a good looking rifle and scope. Good luck with the sale.

Beautiful rifle, and GLWS! Personally, I'd be more likely to get rid of the exercise bike in the background and keep the rifle. ;-)

Im in Auburn and love the rifle. A little more than my budget but i will admire it

Man, if I weren’t house-poor and finishing a basement right now I’d jump on this even not being on the hunt for a .375. I have Sako M85s in 9.3x62 and .30-06 and I love them!

Great value for an accurate rifle, someone please buy this!

Someone got a nice rifle. That model was my first 375 and I still have it. Very accurate as you said. The older Sakos were very nice rifles.

Hello, My wife and I hunted with Marius 2 years ago. He fit us into his schedule after a different outfitter "bailed" on us. He was always very good with communications and although we didn't end up meeting him personally, he called us multiple times during our hunt to make sure things were going well. We were very happy with him.

Reach out to the guys at Epic Outdoors.

They will steer you right for landowner tags and outfitters that have them.

I have held a membership with them for years and they are an invaluable resource.

Way better that asking random people on the internet...WAY better

Skydiver386,

Did you ever find your 30-06 CZ550? I own a fairly solid conditioned one, if you wanted to talk.
