Definitely seems like a fair price, I was thinking it was gonna be ten grand but I'm no expert. Thanks for sharing!!

Still Sabatti. For a tad more you can get a Chapuis. And with that you get quality and dependable service if ever needed.

well, I guess on your definition of tad...lol Chapuis has a better reputation for sure, but last I saw they were about $12k in those calibers? If you have the money to buy a higher quality SxS rifle, I say go for it.

1.5 times the price. But many times better value;) if you can save up $8k for a Sabatti, you can probably save up the $12k. Still a very reasonably priced double rifle, but a quality built one.

I guess you may get lucky with a Sabatti and end up happy with it. Some have. I was not. But the worst part was the refusal by the distributor to acknowledge a problem existed. The people standing behind a major purchase mean a lot.

Check the build quality. Look closely how the barrels and wedge are designed and soldered together. Best of luck with whatever you decide!

Watch out for the stock wrist…too thin for big bores IMO

Looks like someone picked up the 470…

Hello there. I’ve been wanting to introduce myself personally & chat with you about hunting Nilgai. Give me a call sometime…

Best,

+1 Great to deal with. I purchased custom rifle. No issues.

I saw you were looking for some Swift A-Frames for your 9.3. I just bought a bulk supply of them in the 285g. version. If Toby's are gone, I could let 100 go for $200 shipped you are interested.
Thanks,
Gary

Booked with Harold Grinde - Gana River - they sure kill some good ones - who'd you get set up with?
