Good Evening, fellow Africa aficionados and fans of firearms. Here we have a coveted Ruger RS Express rifle in .270. It comes with the original box and enclosures. This rifle is in excellent condition and has a beautiful straight-grain wood figure to the stock. I don't need to tell you the unfortunate part. The LOP has been shortened and an aftermarket recoil pad added. Unfortunate, but that makes this rifle perfect for a person of shorter stature, and makes the rifle more affordable. The metal finish is at 99%, and the beautiful wood is otherwise without serious flaw. There is one small dent on the underside that is pictured. Overall, this rifle is very attractive. As you know, these are the 'Baby Brothers' to the RSM rifles. My experience has been that the Express rifles are actually more challenging to find than the RSMs, and the prices continue to go up quickly, making this rifle a solid investment. It also is a classic Plains Game rifle for the African safari that you are about to book later this month!
I have dozens of transactions completed with forum members. I am happy to discuss the rifle over the phone, or verify any information in whatever reasonable way that you suggest. Many more photos are available.
The price of this rifle w/box is $2200.00 and this includes shipping to your FFL. F2F is fine, but I'm in Northern Minnesota, and am not attending any of the shows this year. Trades are not usually interesting to me, but the trade offer that I would most likely entertain is the same rifle in something other than .270, 7mm, .338, or an RSM in .375 or .416. Cash on my end for the right specimen is ok, but the deal needs to make sense. I'm never going to be able to buy anything from Krish if I don't start selling some guns instead of always buying from you fellows!!! I would listen to other trade suggestions if you have an interesting 'safari rifle', but an outright sale on my part is preferred. Please PM me with questions.
