For sale is a Ruger Old Army Cap and Ball 45 cal revolver. 7 1/2" barrel, adjustable rear sight.
New in box with original papers. Never been fired. The yellow stuff and the stuff in the barrel and by the front sight is original packing grease.
Serial number dates to first year they were made, 1972 or 1973 I don't remember which.
$650.oo US to your door in lower 48. No FFL needed. Thanks, Philip

Nice!

I used to shoot one of these in the old days. It was much more accurate than I was.

They are a lot of fun. And very accurate.

Looks like a Fun Shoot

Looks good, that didn't last long!

It's already gone Bob. I was just getting ready to post. Thanks anyway, Philip
Damn, guess I was only close as well:(

Oh well, let me know if it falls through.

Got to be quick on interesting rugers around this place:whistle::cool:
It was probably that damn @IdaRam

Yea, I see you posted at 6:29.. Guessing you had the gun bought at 6:30
What was the model you bought a couple years ago that was scarce as hens teeth?

And now I lost all hope of the sale falling through:rolleyes:

At least I know it will be going to a good home;) if you can remember what State you have it stored in:D

It wasn’t me, I swear! Guido and Lefty showed me the error in my ways... :D
Yeah, Rugers seem to move at a pretty good clip around here...

Chopped up the whole thing as I kept hitting the 240 character limit...
Found out the trigger word in the end... It was muzzle or velocity. dropped them and it posted.:)

2,822fps, ES 8.2
This compares favorably to 7 Rem Mag. with less powder & recoil.

*PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS IS FOR MY RIFLE, ALWAYS APPROACH A NEW LOAD CAUTIOUSLY!!*
Rifle is a Pierce long action, 32" 1:8.5 twist Swan{Au} barrel
{You will want a 1:8.5 to run the heavies but can get away with a 1:9}
Peterson .280AI brass, CCI 200 primers, 56.5gr of 4831SC, 184gr Berger Hybrid.

I know that this thread is more than a year old but as a new member I thought I would pass along my .280AI loading.
I am shooting F Open long range rather than hunting but here is what is working for me and I have managed a 198.14 at 800 meters.
That is for 20 shots. The 14 are X's which is a 5" circle.
