I bought this early Ruger for a sheep gun, had it reblued and the stock refinished. I believe i had the internals cleaned up, too. Before I got into serious practice with it, I found a great deal on a Winchester M70 in 7mm Mag. Since that went well with my Win M70 in 270, I focused on that and it worked well for tahr, while this rifle languished in the safe. The place for a rifle is in the field, not in a safe! So if you are looking for a PG rifle, this may fill the bill.
There is a used Bushnell Banner 3x9x40 mounted on the rifle. It has red and green reticle illumination. I have attached a photo of the reticle -- it is at an odd angle, but that is the only way my camera would focus on the reticle itself.
If it is worth $700 to you, please PM me. The rifle is at my FFL dealer's shop. I will ship it in a Plano case (or similar).
