This post may need to go into the planning a safari forum.

If you are going on safari in the next several weeks you may want to check out the Rugby World Cup Schedule to determine whether your PH will be focused or distracted.

Rugby world cup schedule

I love the passion that the people of Africa have for the game of rugby.(y)(y)(y)

Your post brought back a memory. In '07 my wife and I had just finished 14 days of a 28 day Safari in Tanzania and were leaving Kilwa Concession in the South. Our charter (a Cessna Caravan) was to take us West but had engine failure on takeoff and we aborted. Luckily a termite mound took out the landing gear on one side and the wing tipped up and turned sideways so we missed a tree. We then drove 6 horrendous hours to Kilwa only to arrive at a seaside hotel and the bar was hopping. South Africa was in the World Cup and beat England! The resort was run by South Africans and the party was on. A great way to end a rough day!
BTW - the kitchen was closed so all we could do was drink.

South Africa is playing Italy on Friday, and I think those two teams have similar styles. Could be a good match. Sorry guys, no hunting on Friday!

I was in India in '96 and they had a cricket match against Pakistan (I think). No one, I mean no one, was at work or school ! Lol

I was in Italy for the summer during World Cup soccer in 1994 when they made it to the final. Life shut down during those games, the burst into party with each successive win.

Pfffft. Guess I was flat out wrong on that call!

Japan is doing amazing things out there! That's fun to watch. And, quite incredible, but is New Zealand in third for their pool? I saw that on that stats today. Some interesting developments in this series.

When I watch it I so miss playing. But, I also realize, quite clearly, that I really should not play it again! :ROFLMAO:

49-3 doesn’t mean you’re wrong. It just means RSA plays that style with greater athleticism and intensity. If you our from SA, it was a great match.

Chopped up the whole thing as I kept hitting the 240 character limit...
Found out the trigger word in the end... It was muzzle or velocity. dropped them and it posted.:)

2,822fps, ES 8.2
This compares favorably to 7 Rem Mag. with less powder & recoil.

Rifle is a Pierce long action, 32" 1:8.5 twist Swan{Au} barrel
{You will want a 1:8.5 to run the heavies but can get away with a 1:9}
Peterson .280AI brass, CCI 200 primers, 56.5gr of 4831SC, 184gr Berger Hybrid.

I know that this thread is more than a year old but as a new member I thought I would pass along my .280AI loading.
I am shooting F Open long range rather than hunting but here is what is working for me and I have managed a 198.14 at 800 meters.
That is for 20 shots. The 14 are X's which is a 5" circle.
