Good day AH community!

We hope everyone is doing fantastic and enjoying a bit more freedom once again in planning your hunting adventures! Tourism is looking very positive here in South Africa and the 2022 hunting season was incredible for many people! Now onto the fun stuff - firstly, please note there are only 2 of these fantastic little antelope on quota with us for 2023. It is on a first come first served basis as the area's we hunt these little guys on is strictly regulated in its quotas. This is something that will likely tickle the fancy of some of the more travelled safari guys out there! Depending on where we choose to hunt the accommodation will either be rustic (but you will always have a hot shower, a warm bed and good conversation to come back to!) or more fancy with many of the amenities expected on safari. We will also be in a fantastic area for Bushpig so if that is something that intrigues you don't hesitate to let us know so we can begin preparations for you! Day hunting sessions will be focused on Red duiker. The preferred method for red duiker will be calling as well as creping along well used trails. If a Klipspringer is also on your list we will be in a great area for them as well. Klipspringer will be a combination of calling and spotting. There are of course some excellent Kudu and Bushbuck numbers as well. If other species are required we are not too far from our other concessions that we can pay a visit to or even stay a few nights there!

The hunt will look as follows:

1x Red Duiker
7x hunting days/8 nights
$4195
€3775
All Inclusive (Includes permits)

*To add a Klipspringer $1600
*To add a Bushpig $800
Good opportunity to add a Kudu, Bushbuck, or Zebra.

Other animals can be added at additional cost.
Other hunter/observers welcome at additional cost.

Package includes:
• Licensed Professional Hunter, a Tracker, Skinner and hunting vehicle.
• Accommodation on a full board basis, incl. non-alcoholic drinks and table beer/wine
• Transfer from and to Johannesburg international Airport.

• Laundry service (Except on Sundays).
• Field preparation of Trophies.

Any Grysbok in the area or on quota?
There are a few to be found in the vicinity but it is very difficult species to find in that specific area. We can always try and head to some of our better Grysbok areas upon success on the Red duiker?

Kind regards,
Dempsey Bayly & Michael Sippel

Sounds like we could make a plan and make it happen. Thank you for the reply.

With your terrain and setups, what kind of gun/load do you recommend for your tiny 10 hunts?

Good day @Green Chile ,

Every member of the tiny 10 requires a different strategy and set up. For this particular hunt we call the Red Duiker's in using a mouth caller. Typically this is in very thick brush so we recommend a .375 with solids to get through the thick brush and not damage the cape.

Kind regards,
Dempsey Bayly & Michael Sippel

100% successful for 2023!

Dont miss out on your 2024 booking. We were successful on day 1 with both of our red duiker hunts!

Kind regards,
Dempsey Bayly & Michael Sippel

Is this the same Duiker as the Harvey's Red flanked Duiker in Tanzania?

We are not too sure, sounds like the Tanzanian one is a subspecies?

Hi Jay,

Hope you're well.

I'm headed your way in January.

Attending SHOT Show has been a long time bucket list item for me.

Finally made it happen and I'm headed to Vegas.

I know you're some distance from Vegas - but would be keen to catch up if it works out.

Have a good one.
