Recent shipping cost from South Africa

Just an FYI.

Got my shipping quote from South Africa this week - $9.75/kg volumetric weight.
In 2019, I paid $4.05/kg so thats well over double.

It only hurts when I cough.

Here's hoping other than that your trophies make it home trouble free. On a related note I am headed to Wasilla within the hour to get my flat skins and visit with my taxidermist about the shoulder mounts.

I'm shipping into Chicago and my son will drive down to pick them up. He is storing them till I move to northern Wisconsin on retirement. At least that saves me on shipping to Alaska, plus the eventual shipping back in 5 years. Thank God I did mostly euros and skins. My partners that went with me shot a lot more and did mostly shoulder mounts - major sticker shock.

If you're driving though Eagle River tonight, I'll shoot you a pm with my number.

Yikes! Those photos, photobooks, and videos are looking better all the time.

Maybe we'll have to combine our AH efforts and charter a plane once or twice per year to go get our collective goodies. Might be cheaper in the long run with enough hunters involved.

Just thinking out loud. I'm not allowed to do that at home anymore...usually gets expensive as it involves guns and/or ammo.
