The only brass I can find for the 400 H&H is Qual-cart. I find that it is thin and brittle compared to the Norma brass I am used to that I use for another cartridge I reload. Has anyone found this brass harder to work with for multiple reloading? I am thinking of annealing to help with the longevity but I am new to this process. Anyone had success annealing qual-cart brass?

i anneal mine after every 2 relaodings. They aren't really Quality. I use them for practice ans save my good brass for hunting.

No experience with Qual-Cart brass. Why not anneal then expand some 375 H&H for practice, use the head-stamped 400 H&H brass for the hunt? I wonder what brass Hendershots uses for their 400 H&H loads?

I believe Hendershots uses Quality-Cart. I think I will fire form some of my 375 brass for practice.

@Pheroze
All brass becomes brittle and hard after being worked multiple times. Those will lead to split necks and other problems.
I find annealing my cases after ever 4-5 reloads prolonged case life. Some people anneal after every firing but I personally can't see the use of it.
There are a lot of good annealed out there but I made my own induction one for less than 200 bucks US.

I need to know if this is legit. Photo with today's paper would do it.

Thanks

I just saw Budsgunshop.com has both the guide gun and the African for $1150. FWIW - I bought both and decided to use the Guide gun - I restocked it in a Bell and Carlson stock and I added the Alaska arms floor plate to add a round. I wanted the shorter barrel as I will use a suppressor. I wont go lower than $1100, but I will ship it and no sales tax.

Let me know if you are interested
