Good evening.
Well the couple weeks before everything went to crap and we are all staying away from other humans for a couple weeks I was able to aquire/build 4 very nice rifles. Starting at the top.

A year or so ago I worked a deal wit @CoElkHunter for a Bauska BBK02 magnum action. I finished building a 404 Jeffery, has a PAC-NOR Barrel, Bell and Carlson stock, NECG front sight, a Wisner pre 64 M70 458 express reproduction rear sight and cerakoted action. Right now I plan on keeping it a iron sight only.

Just below is a Ruger Hawkeye African 9.3x62. I was up in Tucson and stopped into a shop I don't visit very often and they had it on the consignment rack. After looking at it and could see it had less than a box of rounds through it. I kept a poker face and asked if there was any room on the price. The first question the guys at the counter asked is do you know anything about this calibre? then told me the price was firm but that would let me put it on lay-away. So since the price was under $600 I quietly paid the man, told him the merits of the 9.3x62 and happily headed to the truck.

The bottom rifle I purchased from @Dirtdart, I have been looking for a nice in original shape 1903 MS 6.6x54 for a couple years. He shipped it to me and when I was at my Local FFL to pick it up I looked on the wall and he had a nice looking mauser in 7x57 is has a ramline stock, excellent high gloss bluing, timmney trigger, douglas barrel, burris 3x9, and military type sling. The owner of the shop was selling it for a friend that built it several years ago and it was never fired. I walked out the door for $400.

So I was able to get my favourite small, medium, and big bore bolt rifles calibres. The 9.3 and 7x57 I have taken to the range and both are shooters!!!! Plan on getting the 404 and 6.5 out to the range asap.

My buddy Scott refers to my luck as "Dave deals" I am just thankful and will enjoy them.

Congrats! Wish my Ruger African would have been that cheap! I would have pounced on that 7x57 as well, only ones I see are beaters and not much cheaper than what you paid. Some good scores there.

You should be ashamed on the price you paid for that African 9.3!

@sierraone Yea I am feeling terrible about it:p:ROFLMAO: and I have only worked up loads for 250 Accubonds and woodleigh 320's so I better get out the range and get to work on the A-frames.

Chopped up the whole thing as I kept hitting the 240 character limit...
Found out the trigger word in the end... It was muzzle or velocity. dropped them and it posted.:)

2,822fps, ES 8.2
This compares favorably to 7 Rem Mag. with less powder & recoil.

*PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS IS FOR MY RIFLE, ALWAYS APPROACH A NEW LOAD CAUTIOUSLY!!*
Rifle is a Pierce long action, 32" 1:8.5 twist Swan{Au} barrel
{You will want a 1:8.5 to run the heavies but can get away with a 1:9}
Peterson .280AI brass, CCI 200 primers, 56.5gr of 4831SC, 184gr Berger Hybrid.

I know that this thread is more than a year old but as a new member I thought I would pass along my .280AI loading.
I am shooting F Open long range rather than hunting but here is what is working for me and I have managed a 198.14 at 800 meters.
That is for 20 shots. The 14 are X's which is a 5" circle.
