It's a pre-64 (Type 3 era) stock. It's long, had a factory winchester pad added.

The bad news, it has a crack on the side of the action. It was pinned and glued. If you refinish the stock, it would be invisible and it is thankfully not in the tang area. Shame, its a $500 stock with the longer factory length if not for the repair.

thanks for your reply bob , is it feasible to build a 444 on a P14/M17 , or is the no4 enfield easier to build? i know where i can buy a lothar walther barrel in 44, 1-38 twist , but i think with a barrel crown of .650" the profile is too light .
