No but thats a lot of gun for plains game. Ive killed lots using 300 win mag, 308 and 30-06. Any of those work great, even for kudu, w good bullets amd accurate shot placement. I like Swift a frames and good old noslar partitions. Other options out there.
I have, mainly because I am a big fan of the 458 . Last trip over - kudu, black wildebeest, springbok. 50-200yds. 350 TSX 77.2 gr H4895 3.44 OAL, as I recall it's running in the 2600 fps range (use at your own risk). This was using a Ruger No. 1, Leup 2-7 - sub moa with this rifle.

@jenicho my double is regulating with 74 grains so there is no changing the powder charge. It’s also topped with a 2x7 leupold. Did you recover any of the bullets?
Negative on recoveries. exits were impressive confirming expansion (as much as possible w/o recovered bullets). the only recovered bullet on that trip came from my 450 NE double but that was a hornady 480 dgx (culling buffalo and it went through one and killed a hidden one behind it - hence recovery). btw I also used that double on another springbok.

Chopped up the whole thing as I kept hitting the 240 character limit...
Found out the trigger word in the end... It was muzzle or velocity. dropped them and it posted.
*PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS IS FOR MY RIFLE, ALWAYS APPROACH A NEW LOAD CAUTIOUSLY!!* Rifle is a Pierce long action, 32" 1:8.5 twist Swan{Au} barrel
{You will want a 1:8.5 to run the heavies but can get away with a 1:9}
Peterson .280AI brass, CCI 200 primers, 56.5gr of 4831SC, 184gr Berger Hybrid.
I know that this thread is more than a year old but as a new member I thought I would pass along my .280AI loading.
I am shooting F Open long range rather than hunting but here is what is working for me and I have managed a 198.14 at 800 meters.
That is for 20 shots. The 14 are X's which is a 5" circle.
