Picked up a new pea shooter yesterday

I picked this guy up yesterday. A new Kimber 8400 Caprivi in 375 H&H. The fit and finish are outstanding which is exactly what you would expect from Kimber. The best part is that it points better than any gun I've ever owned.

Now to cry over the price of the glass and figure out what to feed it!!

For sure. Next years trip is already booked and I'm researching options for '19. In the meantime I have a feeling that a few very unlucky pigs are going to help me break it in.

Great rifles. Jamy Traut had a couple which were "loaners" while he managed Eden. They saw a lot of use, were supremely accurate, and never a problem. Did I mention they are very elegant as well and don't weigh that extra 1 1/2 pounds that so many .375's seem to? Congrats on your acquisition.

Step two is done. Settled on a Swarovski Z6i 1X6 and bolted it down with Talley QD rings. At first glance I was afraid the scope was too high. As it turns out it's perfect.

Ammo is on the way. Hope to be shooting it this weekend.

Man thats a nice looking rifle. The wood and recoil pad are classic. I have 2 kimber 1911s and love them both but never handled one of there higher end hunting rifles.
