This is a complementary video to that above from Rock Island Auction Company concerning Denys Finch Hatton's adventures, to include being the PH for Prince Edward. This provides a very good albeit short discussion of early hunting and later conservation in East Africa.

Hi Guys, This video on "Out of Africa: A Rifle of Denys Finch Hatton" is fascinating! The historical context and detailed examination of Finch Hatton’s rifle provide a compelling glimpse into the life of a remarkable figure from the early 20th century. The craftsmanship and personal significance of the gun are truly captivating. Thanks for sharing this unique piece of history.

You can now apparently have a new one made and not at a silly price
Wow! But I won't be surprised if someone doesn't pay extra to have a full length stock in original MS configuration...
This offering answers the question--"what would it cost today to reproduce the famous Mannlicher Schoenauer." I wonder if they are using some of the ancient machinery or had to start from scratch?

Hi Jon,
I saw your post for the .500 NE cases. Are these all brass or are they nickel plated? Hard for me to tell... sorry.
Thanks,
