Optics [I swear, that last post today]

As much as I hate to look for and excuse or blame it on age.... my eyesight is not what it was when I was 20 and I hate it, but, am wondering what thoughts people have as to reflex or other sights on doubles. Given, to me, anyway, the reason one has a double is to stick 2x caps in something's ass [or better] quickly.
An aging, balding, cant see as well as I used to [especially at 200 meters], guy would really appreciate your thoughts [not to mention, your sympathy - HA]
