This Python snake is not yawning,
It's got its teeth hooked on the steel wires!
australia27.jpg

Could you get away if this one bit you?
Note: The wires are 10 inches apart,

Photos like these could be instrumental in making the decision to hunt in Australia or not. Now I see why Aussie like Fosters. LOL Just kidding, all right!!!

Oz is different BUT the people are cousins to the Americans. Our sense of humor is "different".
Hunting in Oz especially on buff is great!

That snake would get an A-Frame pretty quick around me!

I'm going to be hunting with Timbo and his daughter Emily (both Aussies) in July. Recently there have bee a number of Aussies posting photos of their recent Buff hunts. For a fact they are impressive. I've see some great Red Stags posted as well.

I’m going in early June to the Northern Territory

Have you decided which of your rifles you are taking? I assume that is where the Buff are.

Not sure if my son Craig is able to go (airline pilot) so I’ll take either 338 or 375 or both of Craig can go.
The Northern Territory is where the buff are.
Expect very big “sweeper” horns

Will use Woodleigh hydros in both calibers. If my son cannot go I think I’ll still take the two rifles - one for a friend.

That croc coming out of the water is missing a leg, poor little feller. I'll keep the snake pics to myself. My other half is not looking forward to that part when we get there.

You’ll love oz

Oz gold are friendly but have a different se se of humor somewhat like that in one and a half men tv series
If going hunting in the NT let’s say it is different there
But

You’ll love it

Wow!! Thanks for sharing all the pics! I'd hat to be the one to have to try to free that snake from the fence!

I was wondering how you would go freeing that snake. It's not like its small & you could hold it still.
ANy mistake & it would bite the living daylights out of you. I know - I'd get my wife (Red Queen) to do it! Cos I'm not sexist!

470 ought to work nicely! Only thing that I would rather not bump into in the woods than a snake like that would be a damn clown! The clown would get the right then the left in short order.

Australia has always seemed like such a magical country to me. Ever since I saw Crocodile Dundee when I was a young teen, I've wanted to visit. I haven't made it yet but will someday!

You will really like Oz. It's a continent so if you are planning on a trip ask me so I can help you especially regarding distance etc.
If you are going after buff you'll find that exciting just like Cape Buff hunting.
This applies to anyone who would like some ideas etc.

I thought it was missing a leg as well. That means there is something in that water bigger and badder than it!

That croc coming out of the water is missing a leg, poor little feller. .............

Can you imagine the size of the bastard willing to have a go at him?

The leg might have been taken off when the croc was a baby

Mind you we get some big crocs - even on the city's beaches

In the tropics here we do not assume that ANY water is safe especially around estuaries & the like. Some boys killed a relatively small croc in a waterway down town in Cairns (Great Barrier Reef city)

So those going hunting in the Northern Territory do NOT go anywhere near the water unless your guide tells you it's ok
