VERY nice. The original owner was quite a mountain hunter wasn't he. That is a total of 49 chamois (gams) I do believe. It is rare to find such a rifle in Germany. So many were either destroyed by over-zealous occupation military police, or "liberated" from abandoned homes and brought back to the US in duffel bags. Congratulations on finding a wonderful piece of history. I saw a pre-war Bocksbuchsflinte several years ago with a similar record. It, like this one, had a mysterious pin that did not document a specific animal.
One can hope....for a PETA-Activist.... probably

I hope that rifle followed you home, and that you have many opportunities to add to the record shown on the stock.
