Taking off for Zambia in a few hours. I will post some updates on the trip and provide some pictures as I bounce around checking on clients and camps over the next 30 days. This will give a little insight to our operation and provide some behind the scenes insights to being a safari outfitter. Hope our AH family enjoys the updates. Can't wait to sit at this spot in the Luangwa River Valley.

Safe travels!

Anyone ever checked in 14 pieces of luggage at 70 lbs each? This is what it looks like. Game cameras, lightbulbs, table lamps, rechargeable batteries for game cameras, tshirts for locals, sundowner tables, bow blinds, and on and on.

Travelling light I see...... :A Thumbs Up: ....light bulbs....tshirts?.....:E Head Scratch:

I hope you have some porters lined up for arrival!

What’s the excess baggage fee for all that come to?
It’s the cheapest way to get a bunch of stuff from US to Zambia, I’ve found. And it’s a fleet of vehicles that are meeting me to wisk it away to a warehouse in Lusaka and then onto a few camps in the bush afterwards.

Mike - we can’t seem to find “warm” colored light bulbs in Lusaka so taking our own. ‍♂️. Maybe you have a source? Tshirts are for schools in the communities.

Warm coloured light bulbs?....
Tshirts can put you in contact with a friends son who does clothing for companies...including logo stuff ..
WhatsApp me when you get here and settled in....looking forward to meeting you for a beer ...and hope all your luggage arrives and you don't have to open it all here at the airport (y) :E Big Grin:

LOL - that must have cost you a pretty penny.

Looks like you could fill a small container with that much stuff.

Bags safely to the Luangwa River Valley to a place called Chibembe in Mwanya chiefdom…via container! This container is then being moved further up river to its final home on the banks of the Luangwa River across from North Luangwa National Park.

These African sunsets never get old. This is on the banks of the Luangwa River across from South Luangwa National Park.

Notice one of the boxes on LC with two chairs for blinds. 7 hour drive left after 15 hour drive to get them to this location. Not to mention the box started out in Texas.

Where is Amazon Prime when I need them?

Last few pics of the night (it’s 2 am here). Happy client with first buffalo ever. And then I’m off to Kafue area to check on a leopard hunt.

Beautiful thick mature 7’1” Kafue area Zambia leopard. Same one as camera pic above. 5 am in the blind. 6:30 am shot. Hyenas walking all around us while we waited in darkness. Good stuff in Mumbwa West.

This area has some of the best open range leopard and lion hunting in all of Africa.
