Thank you for buying that rifle Charles.... :) I think you'll be happy with it, those Tikkas I've found to be functionally flawless.

Congratulations!
Wish you plenty fun and delight with it.

I have one in 6.5X55 and love it. I also have a lot of load data over my chrono and for accuracy if you are interested. Excellent scope also. I also have one in 308win and 7-08.

Very nice! You can't go wrong with a Tikka!

I'm happy she went to a good home, seemed wrong to have it collecting dust in my safe. if you decide to hand load for the rifle contact me and ill set you up with brass/dies/bullets for a good price.

thats a nice, clean, looking rifle.. I bet it will give the whitetails hell this year!

congrats on the pick up! (Im a wee bit jealous over here.. I started out looking for a 6.5 creed several months ago, but have been on the hunt for a 6.5 sweede for a while now instead... after figuring out they are essentially ballistic twins, I decided I'd rather go "old school" than new school)..

@mdwest ,

I do look forward to taking it whitetail hunting this season!

Nice Rifle! I almost bought the Tikka 6.5 swede but when I went back to the LGS to put a down payment on it, there was a mid 90's Ruger M77 in 6.5x55 in mint condition on the rack next to it. Given the option, I picked the Ruger but the Tikka was beautiful too and the action was as smooth as silk.

Congrats, it was tempting me for a long time.

Me too! I had all but forgot about it and then someone revived the post and I couldn't resist anymore!

Looking good Charles. Now we need to see some targets!!!!

Now we need to see some targets!!!!

I hope to get out soon, although its supposed to be raining here off and on for the next week!!

Congratulations Charles! All I know about Tikka is that they have a great reputation. The Swede caliber speaks for itself!!!

Looking good Charles. Now we need to see some targets!!!!

Well after the first day of no rain in what seem like 3 weeks, I was able to get out with another AH member today and do some shooting. After getting it dialed in here are the last two shots!

That is a good start Charles. With a little practice and concentration the Swede will do even better. What ammo did you use?

@Shootist43 ,

I was using Norma Oryx 156 grain. It is a sweet shooter and yes for sure I could get a group of three to practically touch I'm sure. We sighted in 5 rifles today so when I got these last two shots with the 6.5 I was happy.
