Hi all,

Lurked for a while on AH but decided to join! South African who lives in Alberta. I have hunted in SA (Limpopo, KZN, Free State, Mpumalanga, Eastern Cape) and once briefly in Zim. Have traveled to a few African countries and worked in the conservation and eco-tourism sectors in SA (and in Ecuador and Canada).

Currently work as a conservation planner for a provincial parks agency and serve as volunteer for two conservation organizations. I also teach firearm safety courses.

Welcome to AH! Keep warm up there in the great white north!!!

Welcome aboard kayaker. I too am a Hunter Education Instructor as well as a NRA Certified Instructor for Rifle, Shotgun, Pistol, Home Defense & Range Safety Officer. Do you have any plans or thoughts about going back to Africa for another hunt? What kinds and caliber rifles do you own. Do you reload?

Hi Jon,
I saw your post for the .500 NE cases. Are these all brass or are they nickel plated? Hard for me to tell... sorry.
Thanks,
