who is the maker?how much did it cost?does he have any american dealers?[/QUOTE
The knife maker is Bossie Knives in Clarens South Africa. The knife pictured is a Hunter 90 with buffalo horn. The blade is N690 Stainless with a Rockwell C hardness of 58. All his are hand made. The most comfortable knife Iv'e had in my hand. Handle comes with different width. I have misplaced the US dealers card, but they do have a dealer in US who stocks a lot of their knives. This knife sells for $ 299.00 US. I went to gun show almost at closing
on the last day. He hadn't sold any knives, so I offered 250.00 and he took it. The US rep is a husband and wife operation and super nice people. If I find my card I'll let ya know. I'm sure that info can be found on their web site.
Thanks for all the compliments,
Back when I worked in packing houses and used a knife 8 hours a day on 50 head of cattle, agree, the thicker handle is much more comfortable and your hands are much less prone to cramping.Nyati this knife grip is extremely comfortable. Iv'e held a lot of knives in my time and this one feels pretty much the best. Comes in a narrower grip, but I found the little bit fatter grip more comfy.
