I went to a gun show last weekend bought a new in the box CZ-550 american in .375 H&H mag. that makes four, a .22-.22 hornet-6.5x55 and now the .375. the price was too good to turn down at 700.00 USD out the door. I used the same model CZ-550 in .375 H&H on my African hunting trips that my friend owns. les.

Congrats! What an excellent deal!

Congrats, that was a deal indeed too good to pass up! The wood looks nice!

Yikes! What a bargain! Now when are you going back to Africa and what are you going to hunt with it;)?

The CZ dealer around here has one of those at every gun show. I’ve never seen it offered for less than $1090. If only the bolt was on the correct (left) side, I would walk out with it every time. $700 out the door is a heck of a deal. Congrats. May it serve you well.

next june or july, my friend who shot the 56" kudu last june is going to bring the head mount back then. we don,t take any rifles we use my friends and he has a CZ-550 in .375. I have shoot just about all I want to shoot, maybe a few warthogs if big enough and baboons. les.

Leslie, that was a fantastic deal on that rifle. A word of caution though, some CZ 550(s) have had feeding problems. When that occurs you need a gunsmith familiar with the problem to sort it out. If you reload, make up some dummy rounds and cycle them through the rifle. If you can run several magazine loads through without a hitch, you are probably good to go. If not call Wayne at AHR (American Hunting Rifle) and he'll fix you up. Who owns the rifle used for the comparison photos? That rifle has some nice wood on it. Did it come out of CZ's Custom Shop?

Beautiful rifle sir! $700 out the door was a steal.

i reload for all my rifles, the 6.5x55(scoped and nice wood) was bought used and runs any thing. the new .375(pretty plain wood) will get a good work out to see if there are any bugs. both of my CZ 550,s have American stocks. the rifle CZ .375 that I used on my five hunting has the euro stock(pictured inside a blind) and never gave a problem. I shot most of the animals with the.375, but did also use a .243-7mm mag and a .300 win mag. les.

You should feel guilty about acquiring that rifle at that price!!!

Great deal and a nice piece of lumber for the stock, congrats!

Very nice! I wish I could find a dealer in Canada who stocked good selections of CZ and Winchester.

Great Deal,,looks like upscale lumber to me also

Booked with Harold Grinde - Gana River - they sure kill some good ones - who'd you get set up with?
