I would VERY much like to add a full length rifle insert to one barrel of my drilling. Here's what I need to know:
1. Can a shotgun over rifle drilling handle the pressure of an insert in the 7x57--8x57 range without shooting loose? (double under lugs with greener cross bolt)
2. Where can I order one new?
3. Can such a barrel be ordered from Europe and mailed without ffl since it is only a barrel?
4. Is the length to order measured from breech face to end of muzzle? (I want the kind that can be adjusted from the muzzle end without removal)
5. What is the power limit, realistically? The drilling is 8x57, and I would like it to be a "double rifle" in function.
6. Does anyone have a good one for sale? 25 5/8 inches is the length from breech face to muzzle, prefer 12 ga. but 16ga the same length would be considered.
7. What have been any issues in your experience with such an installment?
Thanks for any help!

I can answer no. 1 with a maybe. It would depend on the brand, condition and age of the gun, you probably would need to get it checked over by a competent gunsmith with some knowledge of the type of gun to ascertain if it is practical in regards to breach face pressure. That Sid, from the description of an existing drilling, it should be ok. Beretta used to sell them, not sure if they still do
