can anyone recommend a clearing house for the western US? I have trophies ready to ship from South Africa and I want to bring them in through Houston or Los Angeles. Final destination is Tucson so if you have a better suggestion I’m open.

Coppersmith... used them many times no problems. They have offices in LA and Houston

I think I would lean towards Houston for ease of people you maybe dealing with. Tx a hunting state compared to Ca. and the bunny huggers.
I also have had great luck using coppersmith.

Wow, thanks all for the quick responses. I’m checking with SSI and Coppersmith. I’m inclined to route through Houston, as I agree the potential for trouble with bunny huggers in California is pretty high.

My crate came through LA handled by SSI and there was no problem with it 3 years ago

Hello Doug,
I am Philippe from France and plan to go hunting Caprivi in 2026, Oct.
I have read on AH you had some time in Vic Falls after hunting. May I ask you with whom you have planned / organized the Chobe NP tour and the different visits. (with my GF we will have 4 days and 3 nights there)
Thank in advance, I will appreciate your response.
Merci
Philippe
