Like many of you, I bought the 375 brass at Clark armory that turned out to 300 brass.
I decided to do an experiment. I ran them through my 338 sizing die then my 375. Loaded a minimum charge of H4895 then fired.
As was expected the necks were way short and a little thin, but it would work in pinch. Luckily I am not in pinch so this was just for fun.

You can see I have a 375 sized case and a cartridge in the pictures for comparison.

I like it! Seat to the cannelure. A little more freebore is good anyway. Do you have a photo of the .338-.300 H and H?

No I didn’t CEH they looked very similar to the sized cases I showed prior to firing.
I am going to leave them alone in case I stumble into a good deal on a 300H&H
Good choice. You'll be able to eventually find a good .300 H and H to fit your needs.

I don’t know if the word “need” is acceptable as I have a 30-06, but it’s nice to have the option. Same reason I bought some of the cheap 7x64 brass.
So true about "need". But when you find any brass (let alone Norma brass at a great price), in a cartridge you may be interested in sometime in the future, it would be foolish not to buy it. If you decide not to pursue it, then you can sell the brass.

@Wyatt Smith
You can always sell the 06 to finance the 300 and end up with a far better caliber.
How is the 25 coming on. I'm still waiting for your write up. We need to convert more to the great 25 as nd it's benefits.

Chopped up the whole thing as I kept hitting the 240 character limit...
Found out the trigger word in the end... It was muzzle or velocity. dropped them and it posted.:)

2,822fps, ES 8.2
This compares favorably to 7 Rem Mag. with less powder & recoil.

*PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS IS FOR MY RIFLE, ALWAYS APPROACH A NEW LOAD CAUTIOUSLY!!*
Rifle is a Pierce long action, 32" 1:8.5 twist Swan{Au} barrel
{You will want a 1:8.5 to run the heavies but can get away with a 1:9}
Peterson .280AI brass, CCI 200 primers, 56.5gr of 4831SC, 184gr Berger Hybrid.

I know that this thread is more than a year old but as a new member I thought I would pass along my .280AI loading.
I am shooting F Open long range rather than hunting but here is what is working for me and I have managed a 198.14 at 800 meters.
That is for 20 shots. The 14 are X's which is a 5" circle.
