In June I am going to Namibia on my 2nd Safari. My question is : I was reading regulations in Namibia that you are allowed to bring in 2 rifles. My question is I am taking my Dakota 338 and my Sauer rifle with interchangeable barrels 6.5, 300 win mag and 404 Jeffrey. When they mention 2 rifles are they talking receivers or what? I do not want problems when I arrive.
Thanks for any input on this subject.

@Manny R
Just take the sauer in 300 unless you are after real big stuff then add the 404 barrel. All bases covered.

My Sauer 300 is still at the Gunsmith due to barrel issues. I am not sure it will be available in time. I am taking my Dakota 338 win mag for larger plains game, my Saucer 6.5 creedoor for smaller game and my Sauer 404 Jeffrey for Rhino. Again my question is I will be taking Dakota Rifle(1 gun) Sauer (1 receiver 2 barrels). Will the Namibian Police consider that 2 guns or 3 guns?

Again,
Did you not want to email the airport police who will be checking the guns on arrival???? They will be more than happy to answer?

Its "Namibia" by the way

Interesting. I suspect a rifle = whatever has a receiver with a number on it. Airlines typically restrict to two guns only (curiously, Air Canada allowed three last I knew but would pretty much be limited to domestic flights). Even if you can clear it with Namibia police, do you want to risk dealing with some airport security or airline baggage check person who becomes paralyzed with confusion and you end up missing your flight before it can be resolved?

No limit on the number of guns. 80 rounds per caliber.
Switch barrels will be 1 rifle. Eg. O/U double with 2 sets of barrels 1 rifle
