As I sit here sipping on a dry martini awaiting my flight I decided I'd write a quick note about the journey that I'm about to embark.
The idea came around back in February that I would join my father(Velodog) as well as his long time friend for a plains game hunt in Namibia with Khomas Highland Hunting Safaris.
After a hiccup with the airline company trying to decide if they can fly my archery equipment(still a bit iffy about the bow making all the way there) and my wife being at my side to calm me down, I sit here thinking of how thankful I am. Not only because I am privileged enough to hunt in Africa but for the lovely wife that upgraded my flight due to her concern for my well being after driving me to the airport. Huge hugs and possibly an inappropriate kiss for a public airport and off to the gate I went.
I plan to post more after the hunt so I can share this experience with the adventurous hunters that are on this site.
Further more, I am grateful for those on here that have supplied such sound advice as I seeked information to help better my journey.
If all plans pull through I hope to post pics of whatever plains game the man above places in front of me and within bow range.
Until I get cell signal again......
