The parent of the Outdoor Channel and The Sportsmen Channel has caved into the antis. Sad day that owner of the 2 hunting and fishing outlets would cave. I had heard from Dave Fulsom, that they were told no lion and elephant hunts.

SCI Statement Regarding MyOutdoorTV
Aug 07, 2017
In the past few days, there has been significant public attention to a small portion of programming on MyOutdoorTV (a paid subscription program) within the UK that contains content associated with hunting certain big game animals. Stan Kroenke, owner of Outdoor Sportsman Group and their subsidiary, MyOutdoorTV, has directed them to, “remove all content related to those animals in light of public interest.” Safari Club International (SCI) is concerned about these actions to move away from the true outdoor sport of hunting. We find it very disappointing that an anti-hunting, biased news release and criticisms can have such an impact with an outdoor publications owner.

We understand that Outdoor Sportsman Group is dedicated to serving audiences around the world interested in the outdoors and hope they will continue to do so with a full slate of ethically conducted adventures. Hunting is a legal activity that is highly regulated and is designed to support the conservation of all wildlife, whether lions and elephants or deer and antelope.

11000 signatures is all it took! Also UK interviews and quotes people on the street like it is fact...Amie says, "elephants are endangered and it is sickening". What type of trash reporting is this.

Also, really English football fans are sad about this?!? Soccer hooligans, who are suppose to be the toughest fans in all sports, are sad about this? Really!

Unbelievable, that they would cave in to this.

WOW, sad sad indeed!

They cave to people who do not watch there program and screw the people who support them. But I would guess the 11,000 that are against showing the stuff is more then they have received for showing it.

Maybe we need to start doing the same thing and show them how unhappy it has made us hunters as a group. The people who pay to watch there shows.

Stan Kroenke is a turd of a human being. Just ask folks from St. Louis, or any fans of Arsenal.

just reaffirms for me the decision I made to NOT pay for myoutdoortv..

I'll stick to the pursuit channel..

Not surprised, i mean when one of the Canadian "comedy" news shows went down to the US to ask for people to sign the petition to ban the annual seal hunt in Alberta they got almost everyone to sign it. No sense letting facts get in the way of truth
The good news is theres hunting porn on youtube and i can watch it in my basement without bother

I guess that explains why us Americans have had to pull their ass out of the fire, twice. And why we have to clean up their messes they left from their Empire that the sun never sat on. But of course what we have today in the USA, I doubt we could pull anyone out of the fire anymore (political will and not military strength - that we have plenty of).

I dont know what this has to do with it?

All UK hunters just subscribe its $100 a year and fantastic value

If a bunch of "Soccer Hooligans" are sad about big game hunting TV website and "blood sports" that's what its has to do with it. These Soccer hooligans are allegedly tuff guys. I guess the only blood allowed in the UK is Soccer Hooligans beating the crap out of everyone during and after the game.

And by the way, your value just went down, as the owner has pulled some content from the channel.

Youtube will probably be next.

A petition calling for Arsenal’s sponsors to call for club owner Stan Kroenke to stand down has nearly reached 50,000 signatures, as pressure continues to grow on the American billionaire following the launch of his hunting television channel.

Emirates Stadium/Capacity

60,432

last i read the petition had reached over 70,000 which is 10,000 more than the stadium holds......

Shit I live in the UK didn't even know we had a Chanel like this on TV but won't be paying for it if it's pulling stuff off because of a bunch of loonie lefties

Very sad to see this. Hopefully they just limit the content in the UK and not elsewhere. I use MOTV to get all my outdoor programming over here in Korea.

This might be a good time to segue into a discussion of The Daily Mail and their over-the-top, uninformed, and factually incorrect report on all topics related to wildlife in Africa. As far as I can tell, that publication thinks that every species of animal is on the verge of extinction and any non-vegans are deplorable murderers. I really wonder how much of the UK public really agrees with what they're writing- either way they're winning the information and public opinion wars in the UK.

you have to remember that a large percentage of the urban population in the uk has no idea where their food comes from.....they did a questionnaire a while ago in some schools and asked questions such as where does milk come from and majority reply was a carton..... chickens and meat comes in plastic from the super market.....so unfortunately they are so disconnected from the reality its probably way too late.......not just looney left as @Wayne t puts it, but just how the majority urban population thinks with disney and all the animal documentaries and the peta propaganda etc etc, and absolutely no connection with the reality of wild life or animals in general.

Yeah. Its sad. The detachment from reality just makes it even more earth shattering for these people when they do encounter reality.

I understand how the detachment develops, but I don't understand the intense hatred of hunters that the Daily Mail among others propagates, with this need to denigrate and demean them. There are lots of people and groups in the world that do things I don't agree with, but I've never felt a deeply rooted, extremely emotional hatred for them. Even the antis, I don't hate them- I just feel kind of bad for them. Maybe I'm just not a super emotional person.

Hi Jay,

Hope you're well.

I'm headed your way in January.

Attending SHOT Show has been a long time bucket list item for me.

Finally made it happen and I'm headed to Vegas.

I know you're some distance from Vegas - but would be keen to catch up if it works out.

Have a good one.

Mark
