This is the prefect example of what I do. If you come up with your one design , You the client uses me and my hands and skills to make what you design and dream of. Custom Sable / Zebra of John's Design. I make many compositions and custom ideas but John impressed me with his original idea's and I really was happy to work such a piece to his liking.
The last picture is his drawing to show me what I envisioned in his mind of the finished mount....The base pedestal made by our amish friends next to my studio is our classic Hex with remainder of his zebra as side panels and the double swing doors with his Warthog Tusks polished and uses ad handles along with the inner shelving with the battom shelf, Lined with you guessed it, the bottom or "Butt" of his zebra with the classic markings each and everyone different and individual. The Base is Alder and finished in African Ironwood stain and Hand Tung oiled with multiple coats. No spray lacquerer or vanish , hand rubbed tung oil finish.

Ann and I picked them up yesterday. Ann's first words were "Beautiful, just beautiful!" That about says it all. I really appreciate Dennis taking my vision and bringing it to life. Once I sent him the drawing, I told him to use his artistic eye to adjust as necessary. Extremely happy with the result. Also, we were traveling to Michigan and he was able to accommodate our schedule. We're heading back to Florida and just stopped in Knoxville. The way they loaded, padded and secured the trophies was great. Once we get it setup in our house this coming week I'll post pictures of it in place.

The next project is some purses for Ann (Impala with hair and cape buffalo), a shotgun case for me (cape buffalo) and some pillows (Sable). We owe Dennis the sketches and final measurements when we get home. Something else to look forward too.

Here's a couple of pictures of the mounts in my home office / guest bedroom. The picture with the pedestal doors is from the doorway entering the room. The other picture is from my desk. My new office mates! You can also see the brown Cape buffalo hide draped across a chair I am going to have recovered.
