I'm going on a plains game hunt in Namibia. Do you think that a medevac policy is advisable? I have selectively had them for other travel (business as well as hunting trips). If you think it's prudent to have a policy, which company do you prefer? The two that I know best are MedJet Assist and Global Rescue.

.........The two that I know best are MedJet Assist and Global Rescue.

These are the two of any repute. The later is a sponsor of AH.
The ad and link is in the header.
Gather the info. from both sources and compare.

I am a relatively healthy person and I get the insurance for the sake of my brides peace of mind and my own.

It's insurance. If you really need it, it will help save your bacon. :2c:

Global Rescue the best in the business.

Hi Mtgoat,

My name is Tyler and I work for Global Rescue. I'm more than happy to answer any questions you have prior to your trip, as there are a number of differences between Global Rescue and other evacuation providers.

Feel free to reach out to me at memberservices@globalrescue.com or 800.381.9754/+1.617.459.4200 internationally. I look forward to speaking with you soon!

I hunted elephant with Luke Samaris in 2005. It was my fourth safari and I tell you he is a fine gentleman the best. I got the opportunity to meet Patty Curtis, although never hunted with him but enjoyed our conversation around our tent in the Selous. Very sad for a tough guy to leave this world the way he did. Let’s pray the murderers are caught. I hope to see Luke in Nashville.
