Mauser M98- Has Anyone Purchased One Recently?

Nice piece Mike

Did you need to have it re-reamed to accept 175 gr loads, as Bobby had to do with his Rigby Highland Stalker (reamed for 140 gr pills), or were Mauser smart enough to retain on their own version the original chamber dimensions?
When I ordered mine, I requested a longer chamber which they did. The twist handles 140 through 170 equally well. However, I pretty much use Norma 152's for everything now.

Expert, then. Still very high end, of course. Makes my own 7x57mm Mauser Churchill Gun Makers Model Deluxe (built on a 1943 military surplus DWM Mauser Oberndorf action) look like a barbarian’s gun.

Hunter-Habib, No 7x57 looks to be a barbarians rifle.;) Your's happens to be well used, just as they should be.

Timney makes a low profile Mauser 98 flag safety so that a scope can be used if one doesn’t desire changing to a M70 style 3 position. Here is one on an FN Mauser 98, 30-06 that I later sold. This worked fine although my preference is for a M70 type 3 position because that’s what I’m used to.

Good morning. I see that you had a Sauer 202 for sale for $3,000. Did you sell it at that price?
I have one for sale as well. I listed it (on here ) at $3,000 as well. Is the price high, low or right where it should be?

Thanks. Alex. [redacted] in case you want to call me to discuss further. I appreciate your time help and support.

Dave, I could use both of them if still available. I just picked up a new .22 mag and a .22 pump that they would be perfect on.
