Making Room

As a hunter I have definitely made my way through the 5 stages of a hunter and am now very much in the “sportsman stage” where the experience and time spent with family and friends hunting mature deer is what I cherish.

That said my journey to this stage has left lots of great memories and trophies in my eyes which I will always cherish. Alas there is only so much wall space available for shoulder mounts and European mounts alike. Awhile back I mounted a board in my garage to display European mounts on but I still have quite a number of them with no home so I came up with this alternative.

I cut the horns off of the skull plate just below the burr and installed a eye into each antler then connected them back with a short length of 275 paracord braid so they can hang below my euro mounts. I can still easily take them down for handling and to relive those moments.
