Just curious if anyone has had to store their luggage at JNB for a couple of days? When I go over in August, I will be in Natal for the first week, then I was heading to Zambia. Now, I got an offer to come back to the Northern Cape to visit some friends there for three days. I am trying to avoid having to haul my main luggage piece and my SKB double bow case for that three day trip. I was wondering if there is a "Safe" place to secure them at the airport?
When I googled it, there were some that said you can just leave it at the airport hotel. Just pay them $10 when you drop it off, tell them you'll be back in three days, then pay them another $10 when you return for it.
I've stayed at the hotel there several times and have had no issues, but I've never let them hold my luggage for any length of time.
I also read, during my search, that there is a place you can pay to store it, but it's a 50-50 deal at best on how secure it actually is.
Thoughts, suggestions?
