AH legend
Its been 2 years and a month or two since I received my CZ550 lott and yes it took a bit of time to get used to it.
Did a lot of background work on reloading and bullets to be used energy levels etc.
Topped it with a Apex Predator mount that fits over the V flip up sights and then a Trijicon SRO 1 MOA on top of that.
This Saturday we had a Corporate shoot teams of 4 and trying to get new faces to realize the fun of shooting competitive Big Bore against time. Good practise and most shots we do are offhand with the odd shoot where we use a shooting stick.
Anyway we had 17 teams huge fun and I screwed up on the buffalo range my fault but rectified it on the waterhole range. Hippo, croc and muddy rhino.
Time starts
Load 5 rounds if you can and then shoot hippo broadside at 25 yards not lifesize target brain and heart shot.
Straight ahead a croc brain shot at 25 years golf ball size target
Just right of the croc a Rhino emerges from its mudbath angling away so you had a heart shot behind the leg.
Then you really irritated a hippo bull that is coming for you at 10 yards brain shot.
30.3 seconds for loading 5 rounds and killing all the critters.
Fastest time for the day was 28 seconds but after screwing up on buff range I wanted to make sure on the hits on this range.
The rifle setup just works and cycles like a dream my load used for BASA to keep costs down 500gr Impala solid bullets loaded with Norma203B running just over 2200fps.
If all goes well we will go after buff cow in September my son finiahed his buff cow with my lott but I haven't shot a buff with my lott yet. BTW it works great on lion.
I have no recoil reducer inserted or added extra weight to teh rifle or muzzle break and curretnly it is lighter than my scoped 375 H&H but being used to it now and not worried about the recoil makes it a ot of fun to shoot.
This was my first great load 480gr softs at 2300fps.
This was my first great load 480gr softs at 50 meters 2300fps
Since this photo added a Timney trigger barrel band and good oil job on the stock.
