We don't really consider ourselves long-range shooters and we certainly don't set out to shoot long range but there are times that necessitate shooting at some pretty long ranges. Check out Vanessa's longest shot ever on an ostrich of all things. I wasn't impressed that she hit it.....I was impressed that she knew where to aim.

How far is the shot??

I forget the exact yardage but right around 620 yards.

Well that is long range shooting for sure. I wouldn't try that one myself.

It definitely requires the right gear, perfect conditions and lots of practice.

Understood. There are people trained in the US military and those of other countries that can make shots at over a mile. 620 yards is no big deal to them. But they have the equipment and lots of practice!
To your point some practice goes a long way but lots of practice with great equipment and shots way out there are not as hard as it would be for someone like me!
Anyway hats off to anyone shooting 620 yards down range and hitting the target.

I agree, with good conditions, shots to 600 yards can become petty routine. After that a lot of other factors start to come into play.

Nice shot. Not to sure about your PH and Gunsmith thou. All kidding aside L'wyk is a great PH to hunt with. Gregg has built me 8 fantastic rifles over the years.

Hahaha....it's a small world for sure!

That was quite a shot. Also liked the charging Zebra. One of the "Big Six" in Namibia :-)

Hahaha, ya that was crazy. There was a pride of lions hunting zebra hard while we were there so not sure if that's what he thought we were but it sure came as a surprise. I'd never practiced a frontal shot on a charging Hartmann's zebra before!

Hi TJ. You and Vanessa sure did make some nice shots on those Ostriches!

Thanks L'wyk....that was an amazing place to hunt!
