I just got home from a 4 day fishing trip that fishes the Gulf waters 120 miles west of Key West. Myself and a couple of buddies from work fished aboard the YankeeCapts. long range boat. Although the accommodations were less than luxurious, they were bearable. The quality fishing, however, was undeniable. These guys put you on the fish, and the weather and the fish both cooperated on this trip for us. Here are a few pics.

Glad you had a great trip

Looks like fun.

I'm not a huge fisherman, but offshore fishing is a blast! I've always wanted to do an overnight trip.

Mighty Tasty specimans you have there, I lived in the Keys for 2 years and never missed a chance to do some Salt water

Looks like you guys had a good time and got into the Red Grouper and that's a toad of a Scamp! Great Snapper too. I've been doing overnight trips in the Gulf since 1973. In those days there were no limits on any fish. Now we schedule the trips accordingly with the Red Snapper season and the limit is only 2 per day. Grey Triggerfish is closed as is Amberjack and restrictions/closure on the Black/Red/Gag Groupers. Nothing like it used to be but still a lot of fun. We target Cobia, Tuna, Wahoo, Dolphin & King Mackerel at night and sometimes hit the jackpot. I'm about to leave for the east coast of the Atlantic for some Striped Bass, Bluefish and other species and while there sort out a trip for Bluefin Tuna. Hopefully you guys had some great meals off your fish. They are top shelf! Congrats, LDK

I bet that fish when cooked fresh was simply outstanding!

What they caught CA is hard to beat! That Scamp itself is tops to me when it comes to the Grouper family. A lot of people don't like or think they won't like King Mackerel. I can promise you, I make a smoked king spread that is as good as any smoked tuna and here is a pic of some king mackerel burrito's I made that were excellent.

I have no idea the shipping cost from here to Costa Rica. I can do my research on shipping and get back with you later today.

I didn't see your request re: ship co’s. My last shipment was 2023. Quotes from SBS Logistics ($1,198), Badger Cargo ($1,184 - used them) & AHG Trophy Shippers ($1,746). AHG owner's an asshole so wouldn't have used him anyway. Eastern Cape - Houston, TX, so your mileage may vary. NEVER use Karl Human Taxidermy aka Wild Africa Taxidermy on Eastern Cape. Trophies arrived shattered with no padding/packing material.
