Ok, I have read many books were the author talks about holding two rounds between the fingers of your left hand for a fast reload. Do any of you do this? What is your opinon of this way of reloading?
I agree with sureshot. I set my belt up for two cartridges together, then skip a slot. Then when I reach down, I can pinch two cartridges just under the rim with my thumb and forefinger of my offhand, pluck them up parallel to eachother, and they're spaced to slip both into the chambers straight away.

Something like that is certainly not meant seriously. In the evening after hunting, around the campfire and after a few drinks, each of us tells stories about various shooting and hunting practices.
When the buffalo or the elephant comes in your direction, the two cartridges will end up in the dust very quickly. Also, I don't know how you can shoot a rifle with recoil if you also have to hold with the left hand two cartridges between your fingers. It is terrible what nonsense some authors write.
I have them belt mounted. I had this made many years ago and it has served me well.
I tried a bit of shooting, running and reloading using different reloading methods and, like some of the previous comments, the holding between the fingers didn’t work except in the most clinical and unrepresentative environment.
I’ve reloaded a TC encore like this many times. It doesn’t work as bad as some say, and I’ve never had trouble dropping cartridges. Actually they can be hard to get out.
You need to get them back in the web of your fingers, with the rim flush with your palm.
My encore has a plastic forend that I don’t mind to scratch however.
