Curiosity question, is the calf a giraffe without spots or a giraffe with 1 big spot?

What the article doesn't divulge is whether the mutation is more than skin deep. They explain that the skin has a vasculature that cools through the middle of the "spots" normally. I wonder if that giraffe has a color phase abnormality, or if it has a vascular abnormality that caused the condition?
