I am doing a project and need a list of all hunting rifles manufacturers with calibers and models.
Also need the same for all ammo and bullet manufacturers.
Any Idea where I can find something like that?

I would start with Google

Here is a book you might want to consider getting...

You may want to narrow your search to rifles manufactured in a certain country or minimum annual production numbers. There are so many small scale gunsmiths and manufacturers now that there's probably no way to say for sure.

I'm with rinehart, it would be a ridiculously big list and take a huge amount of time to compile.

Bullets are easier, try googling 'Bullet database'. There should be one in the first or second link.
Ammo is easier as well, you just need to google all the manufacturers and make your own list of what they offer.

What is the project? Maybe we can help you narrow it down.

Jimbob,
All I need are the rifles, ammo and bullets that are mostly commonly used for hunting nowadays.

That's certainly easier- just check the Web page of any major gun dealer, eurooptic comes to mind.

Regarding ammunition, you'll need to clarify what type of animals are being hunted. Birds require shotgun rounds, while the caliber used for a rabbit is different from deer, from an elk, from an elephant.

That in itself would be a very large list. Starting at the .17 caliber and then going up.

I would venture that you are into a list that is probably 10,000 to 100,000 different entries.... all you have to do is look at one distributors catalog and find that, even though they only carry a couple of different manufacturers, their books are over an inch thick. Davidson's online shows 2,322 different entries when you are just looking for the rifles and calibers that they currently carry. May I ask what it is for? Maybe we could help you narrow it down to currently manufactured, still-in-use historical, etc.... I mean just black powder offerings you would at least be into the hundreds or thousands.

so rampokker new member please define the project that you are working on that you need us to help you find guns and ammo list? you kinda sound suspiciously like an ANTI to me:cautious: any hunter on this site worth anything wouldnt ask such a dumb question??

Hi Jay,

Hope you're well.

I'm headed your way in January.

Attending SHOT Show has been a long time bucket list item for me.

Finally made it happen and I'm headed to Vegas.

I know you're some distance from Vegas - but would be keen to catch up if it works out.

Have a good one.

Mark
