Terry Fenn of Chinanga Safaris is currently in the Save Valley Conservancy (Impala ranch, on the Gonarezhou side corner) having just finished a lion, leopard and plains game safari.

They have a lion hitting bait but failed to connect with it before the safari ended. They have seen the lion and indicated it is a mature male. The client has taken buffalo, sable and a few plains game species.

This leaves a lion or leopard and plainsgame safari, (with lion currently on bait) available.
This safari needs to be taken immediately and is for a maximum of ten days.

If someone buys this hunt Terry Fenn will continue to bait in order to attempt to keep the lion in the area..
We do not recommend pursuing this deal you only want leopard and not lion. Although leopard is available Terry has only seen one set of leopard tracks throughout the previous safari.

The details are as follows:

Lion or leopard and plainsgame safari

1x1 daily rate $500.00 per day x 10 days

The following quota is available
1 Bushpig ($400)
1 Giraffe ($2200) or Hippo ($3000.00)
1 Male impala ($250)
1 Kudu bull ($1200)
2 Zebra ($900) or wildebeest ($800) or 1of each

The above is being sold as a package for $11,500.00 which includes daily rates and trophy fees on the game listed above. Any trophies not taken will not be charged.

If the lion is taken there will be an additional trophy fee of $10,000
Or for leopard $5,000

There will be additional trophy fees for bait animals if needed

This safari is normally $2500.00 per day for an 18 day safari

Transfer fee is $500.00 from Bulawayo or Harare.

Dipping and packing fee is dependent on amount of species taken

4% tax on daily rates
2% tax on trophy fees.

Contact me for more info.

And Tim may I add that Terry is a class act. We shared a camp last year and I would hunt with him in a heartbeat.

Terry is a class act.

Mike. . . you're right. I first met Terry while I was in Zim hunting elephant in '94. I returned to Zim and hunted lion with Terry a year or so later when he was working for Barrie Duckworth. He's one of the best guys I've shared camp and hunted with.

Sounds like a great opportunity to hunt with a experienced PH in the wilds of Zimbabwe....for a fraction of what a lion hunt could possible cost.

Terry stated that he got a picture of this lion on a trailcam and is going to try to e-mail it to me. He is out in the bush and communications are tough. If I get it I will post it immediately

Now Tim, anybody that can bounce a text message from a dark lonely back road in Zimbabwe to some desolate place in Maine (desolate is probably redundant when used with Maine) and have an email transfered via satellite to a remote camp to find a mechanic in the middle of the night can surely post a picture. :)

You're right! I found an old flux capacitor in the basement, have integrated it with a space modulator from a discarded sputnik missile,(found it on a hunt in Iraq) and connected them to an English Damascus steel barrel for an antenna and... low and behold I think I'm getting a signal. Will keep ya posted.

Hi Jay,

Hope you're well.

I'm headed your way in January.

Attending SHOT Show has been a long time bucket list item for me.

Finally made it happen and I'm headed to Vegas.

I know you're some distance from Vegas - but would be keen to catch up if it works out.

Have a good one.

Mark
