Does wild lion hinting truly still exist? If so where?

Been researching a bit and see some
Put and take hunting which is perfectly fine by me as to each his own. Just now what is being looked for.

A friend has researched a ton to go to Africa on his dream hunt and wants a truly wild lion hunt experience. Spot and stalk style. Seems to be having trouble finding this so thought I would ask.

Anyband all info appreciated.

YES

Mozambique
Tanzania
Zimbabwe
Zambia
(I'll skip the rest of the list)

There are Sponsors on AH that offer hunts in each of these countries that would be more than willing to provide this kind of hunt for a Lion.
Go through the list of Sponsors. It won't take long to find them.

+1 on what @BRICKBURN says!

I would also urge you to reach out to Strang Middleton in Zambia as well as the outfitters on this site. If you want his info please PM me and Ill pass along his contact details.

If you want spot and stalk you could look at Benin as well, though they maybe closing that soon. Non-importable though.

Dande in Zim has two on quota every year. They harvested both this year. We heard lion roaring a number of times this past week.

Good day sir,

There is certainly wild lion hunts out there that you would be able to spot and stalk. If you want me to send you some information please send me your email address on a private message and I can get back to you sir.

All my best,

Jacques

Burkina Faso and Benin would be your best bet for tracking lion. They are not big in the mane department but you will get one of the most exciting hunts in your life at a very reasonable cost. I think Burkina Faso is on hold for hunting right now because of the Bokaharam issues in the eastern part of the country where most of the hunting takes place.

Sam470 I have contacts and have hunted Burkina myself for lion. It is a great hunt but unfortunately they have hardly any mane.... And as you said everything is currently closed tourism / hunting wise in Burkina. Most of the hunting camps has been burned down! We are not sure if our camp is still standing.... All we can do is hope for the best!

Can you give me an estimate on cost IF it’s ever opened back up? Just a guesstimate I know but just so I have any where close to an idea.

How was your hunting done? Love to hear the story. I’m not honestly all too worried about a huge mane etc. just a thrilling true hunt is the experience and trophy.

Lion is not exportable to the USA from Burkina sir. The hunt itself is much more affordable than any of the other free range countries though... We hunted them on foot by tracking them like we do in South Africa, they are not easy to sneak up on as they sleep in very thick and dense brush during the middle of the day. It is a exciting but hard hunt due to the very high temperatures! Unfortunately our client missed a lion on the last day as he had trouble seeing the cats from day one!

It is really hard to put a price on it now as we have no idea on what is going on out there at this moment sir.

Chopped up the whole thing as I kept hitting the 240 character limit...
Found out the trigger word in the end... It was muzzle or velocity. dropped them and it posted.:)

2,822fps, ES 8.2
This compares favorably to 7 Rem Mag. with less powder & recoil.
