I have been paying attention to this gun for a little while and wondering what everyone’s thoughts are on the price?
At a minimum maybe someone sees it and it’s a great deal and it gets sold. I just don’t know that much about them.

Be aware that a 400 grain .416 diameter bullet leaving the muzzle at 2300+ FPS is not effective on game when the headstamp on the case says Remington. If the headstamp on the case is .416 Rigby then the same bullet/weight combination is more than capable of anything on the planet. :A Stirring:

There have been a lot of custom rifles made over the years on that same action by some very fine craftsmen. If you price the same build today by a lessor known smith than Paul Jaeger was I think you will see that ain't a bad price. Seriously.

Well said.

Paul Jaeger of Jenkintown Pennsylvania built some serious rifles in his day!

Nice looking rifle with beautiful wood! I really like the Interarms Whitworths and have two of them. I think this custom rifle with the scope included at the asking price in .416RM is a very good deal. I haven’t seen many rifles in .416 RM for sale recently. I’d be interested too, but I recently bought a CZ .416 Rigby.

Another thing, I cannot comprehend that a rifle would leave Paul Jaeger's shop that would not feed and function for what it was designed.

If I needed a .416, I'd buy that rifle!

Well thankfully somebody bought the rifle so can stop thinking about it. I wonder if someone saw it on here, as it had been for sale for a while.

What a great way to kick off our 2025 hunting season in South Africa.

This beautiful Impala ram was taken at just over 300 yards, took a few steps and toppled over.

We are looking forward to the next week and a half of hunting with our first client of the year.

Do you have any more copies of African Dangerous Game Cartridges, Author: Pierre van der Walt ? I'm looking for one. Thanks for any information, John [redacted]
