Guys, I'm trying to decide on which Firedot reticle to go with in a Leupold VX-6 1-6. I'm thinking the Firedot 4 for a .375 "all around" rifle, but Leupold's reticle subtension chart shows the heavy part of the Firedot 4 is actually thinner than the Firedot duplex? I'm wanting more like the German #4. I will call Leupold next week and verify but I'm guessing their chart is incorrect.

For those of you with the Firedot 4, is it a thick reticle like the German #4 or thinner? Also, is the opening wide like the German #4?

Thanks!

Firedot 4 is great I have one in my VX-R on my 375 Ruger. Very quick target acquisition. I'll see if I can find a picture through the scope. I know I have one somewhere. The heavy part seems to stand out well to me but still gives you the whole picture.

Here you go…

That was at 1.25 on the 1.25-4x

On My VX 3 number 4 reticle the left/right and bottom crosshairs thicker than on my VX 6.

Hi Jon,
I saw your post for the .500 NE cases. Are these all brass or are they nickel plated? Hard for me to tell... sorry.
Thanks,
