Too many to list!
Special last minute package deal for Leopard hunt in Central Namibia. $12,880.00 price includes 14 day hunt, bait, permits, trophy fee, fully catered.

Paul,

I hate to sound like a buzz-kill, but could you post more details on this hunt? Dates, outfitter, trophy exportation (CITES requirements), etc. Also, unless I've completely missed it, hasn't Leopard hunting, regardless of method, in Namibia been suspended through 2010? If I am mistaken on this, please correct me. Is this a PAC hunt?

Guys, here is more info on the leopard hunt in Namibia.....
1. Hunt can take place as it is NOT with dogs. This is not a PAC hunt!
2. Hunt can take place in March, June or August 2010.
3. CITES fee of $100.00 will be additional and you will be able to export.
4. This hunt usually sells for $15,880.00
5. There are only 2 hunts available at this price!
I will be pleased to answer any other questions that I can.
Thanks

pinotguy to answer your question, here is the official statement from Namibian Ministry of Environment and Tourism (MET) to the Namibia Professional Hunting Association (NAPHA) regarding Leopard and Cheetah Trophy hunting in 2010. Still no word as to when the Moratorium will be lifted, we just know that it has been extended beyond February 2010. Of course there are rumors that they will announce the lift of the moratorium by the end of January 2010. Along with these rumors, people are saying that they will be reopening Leopard hunting however not Leopard hunting with dogs. Rumors are unreliable and purely speculative...

Dear NAPHA,

Kindly be informed that the Ministry of Environment and Tourism will extend the moratorium on the hunting of cheetah and leopards beyond February 2010. The moratorium will only be withdrawn once the new regulations have been gazetted. We are uncertain as to when that will be, but the Ministry of Justice is already working on the regulations.

Warm regards,

I just spoke with the CEO of NAPHA at the Dallas Safari Club show and it is not expected to re-open for Leopard or Cheetah until after the 2010 season. They are also saying that hunting with dogs will be banned in the future.

Your best bet for a Leopard is Zimbabwe. And yes it is safe to hunt in Zimbabwe.

Good Morning x84958
I have read your post about Jamy Traut and your hunt in Caprivi. I am planning such a hunt for 2026, Oct with Jamy.
Just a question , because I will combine Caprivi and Panorama for PG, is the daily rate the same the week long, I mean the one for Caprivi or when in Panorama it will be a PG rate ?
thank you and congrats for your story.
Best regards
Philippe from France

Hello Doug,
I am Philippe from France and plan to go hunting Caprivi in 2026, Oct.
I have read on AH you had some time in Vic Falls after hunting. May I ask you with whom you have planned / organized the Chobe NP tour and the different visits. (with my GF we will have 4 days and 3 nights there)
Thank in advance, I will appreciate your response.
Merci
Philippe
