I live in Sweden and have access to a smaller variety of bullets than the Americans have. I have found some very specific bullets, with no equivalent to be found in the EU, that are made and sold by an American company. A friend of mine that's a US citizen, if that matters, will be visiting America in the summer and I am wondering about the legality on the US end of her buying some bullets when she's there and bringing them back to me in Sweden. I have tried looking at different documents about itar but I haven't managed to find anything mentioning anything about loose projectiles for reloading. Just to clarify they are just ordinary fmj and not ap/tracer or something exciting.

Since the people on this forum never cease to amaze me with their knowledge I was hoping that somebody might know or be able to point me in the right direction

typical bullets (projectiles) are not regulated in the US.. she can take them out of the US without any problem.. (there are some exceptions.. but they would not relate to an FMJ or a common "hunting" projectile)..

The only challenges that I can see as potential (perhaps they are not.. I am just not familiar with Swedish law) would be if there are any import restrictions or regulations in Sweden related to bullets.. or tax issues (would the govt want to tax the "import" of the bullets) since she would be bringing them in for the purpose of giving them to someone else..

That sounds perfect. There are no issues with bringing them into Sweden but I would've thought that itar would be an issue but my knowledge on those regulations is pretty much limited to the defense industry parts and not so much hunting parts.

We used to require an export permit to ship to Canada. I used Reloading international. My most recent purchase did not need this, so things have changed. Reloading international imports North Fork from Sweden (I believe), so it may be worth contacting them.

I saw you were looking for some Swift A-Frames for your 9.3. I just bought a bulk supply of them in the 285g. version. If Toby's are gone, I could let 100 go for $200 shipped you are interested.
Thanks,
Gary
