There are many endorsing the meet and greet when arriving at Joburg. What about leaving Africa? Am I going to need some guidance to get out? Specifically, I leave Port Elizabeth and fly to Joburg before the flight to Dulles. Do I check my guns all the way through from PE to Dulles? Or, do I claim the guns at Joburg and recheck them for the flight to Dulles? Thanks in advance!

If you are doing the meet and greet in Joberg they will meet you on your return trip also. But you will need to check your luggage through to Joberg from PE and your rifle case and ammo box will get luggage tags at the ticket counter but then you'll need to take them to the SAP's office in the PE airport.

Then when you retrieve your luggage in Joberg you will need to go to the firearms desk and retrieve your rifle case and ammo box. You can no place the ammo box back into your checked luggage. If you scheduled a meet and greet for your trip down they will meet you outside the luggage claim area to take you back through the rest of the process and leave you at the security gate once again for your flight home.

2,822fps, ES 8.2
This compares favorably to 7 Rem Mag. with less powder & recoil.

Rifle is a Pierce long action, 32" 1:8.5 twist Swan{Au} barrel
{You will want a 1:8.5 to run the heavies but can get away with a 1:9}
Peterson .280AI brass, CCI 200 primers, 56.5gr of 4831SC, 184gr Berger Hybrid.

I know that this thread is more than a year old but as a new member I thought I would pass along my .280AI loading.
I am shooting F Open long range rather than hunting but here is what is working for me and I have managed a 198.14 at 800 meters.
That is for 20 shots. The 14 are X's which is a 5" circle.

Have twice tried to post something that your site canned as "SPAM" or some problem.. "Contact the Administrator"... Not sure why even the "Contact" button would not send my comment so you only received my query but not the content in question. I'll see if I can get it to you this way... NOPE I use a VPN and perhaps that is causing me grief...
