Layover in Doha and COVID

Has anyone heard about any restrictions on leaving the airport in Doha during a layover? Trying to decide if we should plan for a 32 hour layover so the wife can do some shopping and sightseeing, or just take the normal 8 hour layover and not leave the airport. I realize a lot can change between now and May 2021, but thought I'd inquire to see what restrictions are in place today.

DISREGARD: GOOGLED IT, CAN'T LEAVE THE AIRPORT.
No telling how long this will be the case and not worth risking it and having to deal with changing the flights around in April if it's the same policy.

If it is any consolation, she (and you) can do serious, lasting fiscal damage at the Doha airport itself. Serious lasting damage. It is Duty "Free" on steroids.

I agree with Red leg. If you want the mrs to shop she can do some serious damage to your credit card just at the airport. I was on the receiving end after only a 4 hour layover only.
